I am a Physical Artist and Animal Philanthropist going Phygital, living both in Switzerland and Ireland. Art is more than just a way for me to transform and process my intense connection to the world around me. It's my way of contributing to the well-being of nature, especially its creatures, the animals. My art is contemporary, ranging from figurative to abstract, and reflects on diverse topics such as neurodiversity, the role of women in society, the natural environment, and even the complexities of financial markets. The ideas for my artwork spring from inner images, born from my perceptions of the world – whether through conversations, observing people and animals, or witnessing social phenomena. Because of this, I don't rely on sketches, photographs, or other external references in my creative process. I excel at imaginatively using materials, paint, and shapes. Currently, I favour acrylic on canvas or wood, often employing fresco techniques. I'm drawn to vibrant and saturated colours – yellows, blues, reds, greens, oranges, and siennas – which I often combine with whites and blacks. In some pieces, I incorporate metals like gold or coins, or other unexpected materials.

Under Armour
2023
30x30 cm cm
Acrylic on Canvas
480 €

Overall, this artwork is a thoughtful and nuanced exploration of themes related to love, strength, performance, vulnerability, and the connection between the inner and outer worlds. When you are « Under Armour », your are seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses, even when there's nothing else remarkable happening. It represents a filtered or idealized view of reality. It's as if the "armour" is creating a bubble of positivity around the viewer, shielding them from the harshness or negativity of the outside world. The artwork invites us to consider the implications of viewing the world through rose-tinted glasses. Is it a form of escapism? Is it a healthy way to cope with stress and negativity? Or is it a form of denial that prevents us from seeing the world as it truly is?

The artwork challenges the norms of how we perceive professional women, emphasizing their humanity and vulnerability, often overlooked in the corporate environment. Authentic Support" portrays five women standing together, exuding unity and strength. One woman, visibly affected by cancer with a bald head, represents vulnerability, yet her presence is not one of sorrow but of courage. The group's close stance suggests solidarity and compassion, offering unspoken emotional support. The vibrant, childlike style, with its simplicity and optimism, contrasts with the gravity of illness, making the piece both heartwarming and powerful. The bright colours convey hope, showing how authentic, unconditional support can empower even in the most challenging circumstances, reminding us that strength lies in connection.
