Mariam Manukyan, known professionally as May Yan, is an Armenian contemporary artist working in symbolic surrealism. A graduate of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, she creates paintings that explore emotions, imagination, nature and the hidden layers of human experience. Inspired by dreams, symbolism and the connection between inner and outer worlds, her works combine realism with poetic visual narratives. Through oil and acrylic painting, May Yan invites viewers to discover feelings that are often difficult to express in words. Her artworks have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections in Europe, the United States and Australia.
