(ARTIST STATEMENT)
Canvas as an art medium dates back to the early Renaissance period, around the 14th century, i believe that the canvas is not just a support for painting, so I created my first interesting art work in 2008, the title of The Pillow and Quilt.
The wrinkles texture of the canvas visually presents a spectacular image of a mountain and hill. At the same time i love the mountains and water of Chinese painting, and I hope to combine the two elements into my unique artistic style.
In the Canvas and Mountain series, mountain and hill is my home and the viewer can explore the space I have created, which is composed of different elements, including my emotional, my childhood memories, my city and Buddhism ect.
