I'm drawn to the quiet resilience of flowers and foliage, and I love capturing theirstories through my brush. Starting I sketched my first bloom beneath a wisteriavine-and that moment sparked my journey into botanical science illustration.My brush became a magnifying glass, revealing the veins of leaves, thegradients of petals, the sheen of fruit-each stroke born from close observationand deep affection.
My farm is both studio and sanctuary. I greet the morning dew and dance withthe shadows of dusk. Plants are not just subjects-they're companions.Ibelieve art should not be reserved for the elite; it belongs in everyday life.
Through my initiative, Affordable Art, I hope to bring nature's beauty into morehomes-whether it's a small painting on your desk, a splash of color by yourwindow, or a quiet moment hanging on your wall.
Alongside flora, horses havegalloped into my heart and onto my canvas. Theirgrace, strength, and soulful eyes speak to something ancie nt and tender. I oftenfind myself sketching them in the golden light of evening, capturing the curve ofa neck, the flick of a tail, the quiet intelligence in their gaze. Painting horses isnot just an artistic pursuit-it's a tribute to their spirit and the bond we share.
This exhibition presents a selection of my recent works-each a miniature echoof the natural world and a personal dialogue with the plants and animals I liveamong. I hope you find your own flower, horse , or sense of calm within thesepieces.
