I was born a Gemini in 1953. I have been taking photographs since my childhood when my uncle Horacio gave me an Agfa Gevaert Rex with a telescopic lens and later a Kodak Fiesta that I still have. From there, I took courses, participated in competitions, had a black and white lab, etc. I've been writing poetry and short stories for as long as I can remember. I attended workshops, contests, published my books, etc. I participated in independent theater groups, directed a children's theater group, and made theatrical adaptations of classic works such as The Little Prince, The Ugly Duckling, Don Quixote, etc. I was an intensive care physician for 30 years, writing and publishing articles and books, receiving awards, attending conferences, etc. I held management positions in public hospitals and consulting services, etc. Now I take direct, unprocessed photos, both indoors and outdoors. I take photos when I think my perspective can add something personal to the landscape, person, model, etc. We created a beautiful book with artist Mariela Ballesta, "Some Verses and Other Ramblings" – Ed Dunken – Buenos Aires, 2018; featuring her works and my own verses and texts. A wonderful synthesis. Images and words are sometimes made to coexist. Other times, they aren't.
