Editions OCTOBRE 2025
Barbara D'Angelo Månsson is an Italian-born artist who began her creative journey influenced by Italy’s rich cultural heritage. Moving to Sweden in 2011, she focused on abstract painting, gradually developing her unique style. In 2015, her artistic exploration deepened during her time in the U.S., where she captured her life abroad through vibrant, bold canvases influenced by American Abstract Expressionism. Returning to Sweden in 2017, Barbara continued innovating with mixed media and textured techniques, often using impasto acrylics, sand, and wool to create tactile surfaces. Her work reflects a deep investigation into human nature, identity, and interconnectedness, inviting viewers to contemplate emotional and existential themes. Her art combines her European roots, Scandinavian minimalism, and energetic American styles, resulting in powerful, textured pieces that foster introspection. With exhibitions across Europe and the U.S., Barbara’s work has attracted international attention and collectors. Her paintings serve as emotional echoes of the human experience, encouraging engagement and reflection through bold colors and textured abstractions.
