| I am Francesca Dito Di Giorno. In my pictorial language, I represent elements from the world of wine: glasses, bottles, still lifes; as well as agricultural landscapes: fields of rapeseed in bloom or vineyards. I try to convey their colors, aromas, and textures. I paint what I feel, what I breathe, what I smell, what I see. Composición Constructiva II (2021-2022), from the Recorriendo caminos series, is about virtual encounters and wine tastings, a modality that emerged during the covid-19 pandemic. During this period, when it was not possible to travel physically, I shared with other colleagues, each from home, the appreciation of aromas, flavors, wine profiles, grape varieties, and regions, and it was there that this work was conceived. |
